About
We have been established for over 40 years and are one of the largest independent farm advisors in Australia, working closely with over 700 farm businesses. The Farmanco Group was established in 1978 and evolved from the Dowerin and Districts Farm Management Advisory Service. Ken Sevenson took over the practice with around 70 farm business clients. Farmanco continues to grow and so do our clients - who now produce an annual average of 6.2 million tonnes of grain; 1.9 million sheep producing 8.4 million kilograms of wool and 29,000 head of cattle from a farming asset base of $9.9 billion.
The Group is made up of Farmanco Management Consultancy (management and agronomy services); Farmanco Marketing (grain marketing); Primary Financial Services; Aglytica (farm benchmarking services); Farmanco Bookkeeping; and Farmanco Research (currently working on carbon emissions benchmarking).
We have multiple regional offices across the Wheatbelt, Great Southern and South Coastal regions of Western Australia, as well as an office in Albury, New South Wales which supports our clients in NSW, Victoria and Queensland.
Farmanco maintains its position in the consulting industry as a truly independent firm that is paid by clients for information for their benefit only. Farmanco is focused on providing the best possible advice to those clients. This independence broadens the sources of information flow to our consultants. They access information from all sources, beyond that which the dominant commercial entities provide to the rest of the industry.
