About
Going through the Parish archives, one can come to know that the seed of our plan for a new school in Kialla
was planted during the time of Monsignor Frank Hickey. With the acquisition of a block of land in Raftery Road,
initial efforts then suffered a setback when the same block of land was not approved by the City Council for an
educational facility as it is in a flood-prone area.
From the beginning, it has been and continues to be the dream of everyone. Thus, the dream of what
it could be just never ends! Like the mustard seed, what we now have and where we are now, in the
pursuit of our dream, is a product of small yet collective efforts and contributions of so many people
over all these years. It is in that same spirit that we continue to gather the ‘little stones’ that we all
havefor the building up andrealisation of our dream. As one African proverb tells us, ‘It takes a
village to raise a child.’
